WE ARE.
Founded by social innovator and Global music producer Kariz Marcel, Blakwater Production House is an intergenerational collective of musicians, educators and music industry professionals who specialize in producing socially impactful global content and developmental programs via arts and entertainment in Baltimore, Maryland.
It is our Mission to utilize a cohort of Baltimore City musicians to unite the music scene and connect those individuals to the global music economy.
It is our Vision to have the Baltimore Music scene a major contributor to the global music economy. Our philosophy encourages and promotes continuous intergenerational and creative exchange.
SERVICES.
Baltimore has a lack of access to the music industry as a whole. In order to increase the city's access we need to start with structured creative systems that target the best of tomorrow's leaders of the arts. The good ones always leave their hometown to pursue their dream. What if we engineered the music scene to work for them instead of against them? Blakwater will be an ecosystem and a safe place to build ideas of their own while contributing to globally distributed commercial projects.
MUSIC CITY.
The Blakwater Exchange (BX) is an intergenerational music, business development, and cultural exchange program geared towards working musicians of varying expertise and backgrounds. Our in-house teaching studio serves as the nucleus for collaborative exchange as musicians share ideas, personal experiences, blend genres, and create original music over the course of 26 classes covering several subject areas, including:
